I’m thinking about applying to IEN Africa. Where should I start?
We are excited that you are thinking about applying to IEN Africa! We strongly encourage all applicants to review IEN Africa’s website for information regarding the start-up management support and our selection criteria. Who can apply to IEN Africa for support?
Almost anyone! IEN Africa accepts applications from Kenya and non-Kenyans, individuals and organizations, nonprofit and for-profit entities, governments and non-governmental organizations, among others.
Can I make updates to my application after submission?
No, you will not be able to update an application once it has been submitted. We highly encourage you to fill the application keenly before submitting it. We understand things may change in the time between submitting an application and moving into the final evaluation stage, you will have the opportunity to share any updates or changes with the team.
How will I know the status of my application? How can I inquire about the status?
After submitting your online application, you will receive a confirmation email.
Updates on IEN Africa review of your submission: You will receive an automated email when the status of your submission changes with any of the following: Submitted, Review in Progress, Due Diligence, or Declined. You may check the status of your submission at any time by logging into the IEN Africa Portal with the username and password you established during the online application process.
Does my application have to be in English?
Yes. Unfortunately, all applications must be submitted in English and not any other language. Please note that applications are judged by the content and quality of your innovation, not by English fluency.
